Never! Its a remarkably solid car! and it is a smooth runner, no probs, as yet!

Mind you tho, I know I could profit on it [}:)]

But, I have always had mk2's and now I have a mk3 and wanna keep it

    Looks good.

    I would buy:
    FK Coilies, or Koni/Eibach combo.
    These wheels.
    Clear indicator repeaters
Floor Mats without those weird metal bits
Badgeless grill (leave it black tho, it goes nicely with the silver).
If there's any money left, some fogs to replace the blanks in the front bumper - maybe tinted ones as per Anniversary?

Those wheels look kinda nice! Jus bought some fk coils from ebay.de, 250 quid as new! Mwuuuhaahaa! Have a mate in Germany who is gonna grab em for me! The mats have already gone, they were dog log! How much dya recon fogs will cost for the bumper? Are they difficult to wire in? What dya think about the price I paid for the car?

    Cheers

Bargain on the coilovers! That'll improve it no end.

For an idea of how those wheels would look, this is mk3anni's car, also on FK coilovers:

Not sure on fogs prices - the crystal ones a lot of people have now are about 100 I think. The originals are more than that from VW, but they come up quite regularly on ebay, or at shows. Part of the wiring is in place on all mk3's, but you need a different headlamp switch (2 pull out positions), and the part of the loom that goes from the engine bay to the bumper.

Looks a good price for the car!

Now an engine transplant is just silly, (well, at the mo!) Do you think I may be able to get these fogs at the dubfreeze show on sunday? And your right, those wheels are pretty damn sexy!

    Cheers

There's a big autojumble/trade bit by the looks of it, though a lot of dubfreeze is aircooled. Worth a look!

depends what you want from the money.
personally i'd get some decent brakes- discs, pads and brakelines.
a decent suspension setup, and other parts to sort the chassis out- arb's, strut braces etc!

I would get a back issue of PVW (mk3 madness) and look at the silver one in there.

    Stunning!!!!
