What's better hand held or free laptop vag com

    Looking at getting a vagcom unit but whats better
    The USB lead for free down load software
    Or a cheapy hand held unit

    Looking at buying tomoz so any help
    Greatly welcomed

    cool only asking cause dint want to buy a lead off fleabay then find out the vagcom lite wont clear fault codes lol

    if you have a laptop then go for the 10 usb cable. it will do everything you need it to on a mk3 and most if not all of the things you'll need on a mk4

    I'd go for the laptop as well.

    I was well impressed with it and still cant believe that a single grey copper wire can tell the laptop how much fuel is passing each of 6 injectors, amazing!!!

    yep

    ijust asked iask i will be paying for the full ross tech software in a couple of months just wanted to no if the free ross tech would clear codes for now lol
