Skate on xbox 360 these days, i thnk it's going to be a cult classic as far as skateboarding games go, massive online following now with loads of 'Real' skate vids on youtube. Plenty of old stuff, i've always played games since i was a kid.
Out of interest, what does Skate offer that THPS doesnt? I've not playes Skate but used to be a massive THPS fan until it got to about number 4.
you could say the same thing with any of them, 2-3 3-SA each a massive leap . Mind you if you go just on detail then Shenmue on the Dreamcast rocked. http://shenmue.planets.gamespy.com/images/shenmue1screens/Highres/Shenmue__422.jpg http://shenmue.planets.gamespy.com/images/shenmue1screens/Highres/Shenmue_Set2_172.jpg http://shenmue.planets.gamespy.com/images/shenmue1screens/Highres/Shenmue__95.jpg http://shenmue.planets.gamespy.com/images/shenmue1screens/Highres/Shenmue__24.jpg http://shenmue.planets.gamespy.com/images/shenmue1screens/Highres/Shenmue_Set2_234.jpg http://shenmue.planets.gamespy.com/images/shenmue1screens/Highres/Shenmue__278.jpg
Into the eagles nest on the Spectrum - Can get a version on the net Medal of Honor - The Original PS1 Version. Half Life - PC Metal Gear Solid - With the Shadow Moses thing - (PS1?) GTA - Original Think thats my list of great games.
Regarding Skate. You must have seen how realistic it is? Using the flick it control style. None of this totally unreal skating like grinding telegraph wires etc, all the flip tricks you do actually take skill to master and the execution is much like the mevement in real life. Check some of the vids on youtube to see more and how cool the motion capture is. I can't praise it enough!
SamnMax Day of the Tentacle Monkey Island Series All very cool Lucasarts stuff the likes of which you dont get today, modern games dont like the player to have to think. Also, The 7th Guest. Proper hard puzzles in a haunted mansion. Then for more modern stuff, Wolfenstein 3D and Doom. The Originals. I had a 386 that ran Wolf3D, then I remember getting a 486 that could run Doom and it was like the bestest upgrade ever.
Lure of the temptress, Beneath a Steel Sky (both available as free downloads): http://www.revolution.co.uk/_display.php?id=16 http://www.revolution.co.uk/_display.php?id=10 http://www.scummvm.org/downloads.php Runs through the scumVM program (also free).
call of duty 4 for the 360 online is still a great game, playing it a least 2-3 times a week from the off. on my third time around the board, though I didn't go pristige for months initially ^_^ so should be on about my 5th time round
Metal Gear Solid 2 Mario Kart 64 was amazing Super Mario 64 Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time is probably my favourite game ever. Recent games that have wowed me have been COD4 on the PC, Forza 2 and Skate for the Xbox 360. I was a massive fan of Halo 2, but I think Halo 3 has kind of ruined it for me..
Manic miner Elite aleins vs preadator (still the jumpiest game ive played) hidden and dangeous X3 (just like a 3d elite) cod4 and quite enjoying assasins creed at the moment for online it has to be bf2
Resident EViL 1,2,4 1 and 0 on gamecube GTA Vice city & san andreas Gran turismo 1,2,3,4 MGS 2,3 COD4 syphon filter 1,2 in 3 weeks "red dead redemption"???
Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas on the PS2 But the best Grand Theft has to be the one on the Ps3. Brilliant game, with so much to do!!!
Probably San Andreas... But there's dozens and dozens of also rans... All the GT series have been good, but the next one wants to be mind blowing it's taken so long. Liked the Hitman games. I think the ideal game will be the PS3 version of San Andreas, GTA4 is brilliant, and is Gay Tony (not had a chance to play Lost and dammed yet) all the space and vehicles of San andreas but with PS3 graffics and multiplayer will be awesome.
We had chuckie egg on r old bbc computer it was ace! Cod4 mw1 is still my favourite, ive spent 12 days in total on it Maybe i should get out more!
