i know of a golf rallye from worcester that approx 500bhp + also been rolling road proven and beaten many many fast cars
Sounds intresting. Would be good to see what its top speed is. Most of the time its only motorbikes that can keep up at the top end. Almost all fast cars are limted to 155mph.
Cool, The only car thats really been faster than mine was a tunned Lamborghini that was throwing big flames out the back, it had Revo stickers all over it lol. Its all about power to weight!
Is there a competition to see who has 'ta fastest mk2 golf' in Derby then and what's the prize? Edit: ah silly me I know what the prize is - points lol (on your licence)
I think its a willy waving contest that I think it would go something like this; Step one: Find willy Step two: After failing step one find magnifying glass Step three: Find tweezers Step four: Grab willy and wave it There is some mental vdubs about nowadays and many many more in the works, think powernut is derby based he normal has something mental in the making thou they normally go pop quicker than they go 0-60. As far as road racing goes Iv had audi estates that wipe the floor with Astons, fastest car on the road is normally the one driven by the person who has less to lose, rarely has any relation to how quick your car is. If you want to put your car up against other golfs get down the pod or shakespeare raceway or any track, CGTI even has proper timed competitions!
me and my buddy own the momentum tuning mk2 and its been completely re-built. running low boost rn and its 450hp vr6T rear wheel drive. running garret gt40r with 277 cams and everything else is custom including an air to water cooling system thats ridiculously engineered. in the shop right now getting a pro tune on vems to push abput 700 hp at 27psi. so i think we may have one of the fastest mk2s that is street legal at least hahahaha. and the reason for rear wheel drive is because its converted to mid engine so engine is in rear of car and weighs out to 2050 pounds. some serious **** will update after track days.
