How about 45 mins to fit a glass sunroof into a Corrado?

And that includes driving to the yard, taking it out, bringing it home, cleaning it up, regreasing it, taking out my old one and then fitting it.

    Pretty chuffed with that myself!

    and it was raining too.

I changed the entire exhaust (mani back) on my old Mk3 Polo in 25 minutes as I had completely forgotten about it blowing and the MOT was that morning... Quite proud of that one!

Had to re-hang it when I got home though

I did a front ball joing on my old Mk1 in 15 mins, it was an original one that was rivited on, i had forgotten to do it and had 30 mins to get to the MOT station, i got there with 5 mins to spare, i had one of my fathers Chisels and a lump hammer to get the rivets off, the sweat was poring off me, all good though, and the car passed :)

i think i was lucky that the garage was clean and organised, otherwise i would have had a nightmare!

About 6min changing rear springs on a nova! (rear of car onto stands, supprt beam with jack, undo both shock bolts, lower beam just enough, swap springs, put back together - didnt even take wheels off!)

piece of pish, undo driveshaft centrebolts with car on ground, then wheels off. massive extension time, and a pair of mole grips on the brake disc to stop it turning, crack it off, undo, unclamp grips, move onto next one and so on. 10mins topps to do all 12.

theres onlt like 5 majour bolts holdin box to engine, then 3 13's at the back for linkage, 1 11mm underneath, and 3 more for mounting. deadeasy once your on a roll.

once u turn the diff upwards it deadeasy to plonk box in and out, none of this faffing on a ramp, easier on axle stands.

swapped both rea suspension struts over for an mot in 15mins, including jacking the car up and getting it on axel stands.

it did help that the suspension had only been on about a day, so none of the bolts were siezed up and i could rember every step to undo them all and also had my brother on hand to pass sockets, spanners and general helping etc
