where can u download vag com

    so vag com is only 1.5 meg i thought it was a full cd [:$]

    Basically you need an interface so that you can connect your PC to the cars diagnostics port - u can get one of these off ebay (just do a search for vagcom ;))

    Next you need the vagcom software, which you can download from the Ross-Tech website.

    Fire it all up and you should be able to retrive fault codes from your ECU, check the ABS, Airbags etc. You can even change settings of your central locking etc.

    I wonder if my MK2 8v could benefit from VAG-COM.. [:$]

    i finally bought a cable last week where can i get the cracked version 4.09 :)

    what can i use vag com for ive cleared my airbag light already

    got a copy of v4.09 and when i use it it always sayes reged but when i try and use it it beings up a msg saying it aint reged :(

    any ideas

    not tooooo bad if you can charge people for the privilege of poking around with their ECU! You could probably make that back at a couple of VW meetings
