where do i buy a minter?

Hey boyos, im seriously considering buying a mk2 gti 16v, prefferably a late model in mint condition, trouble is i dont know where. I dont trust private any more after my mk3 gtitrouble, and to be honest most in autotrader have been modified (tacky ) or are just poo.


Does anyone know of dealers who only deal with tidy golfs?


may sound far fetched but my mate said some do exist, if i cant find one im considering a 106 gti/rallye, dontlet me buy french!

Only the other week I missed out on a one-in-a-million car less than an 1 hour from me, J Plate 92 3 door black 16v, 1 owner, FVWSH, only 44k, yeah it was up for 4200, but it sold to the 1st viewer!
Not sure what to do, maybe I'll end up sticking with my 8v...

I've just had a lead on a one owner, low mileage Mk1 Gti. Allegedly all original panels and no welding. Shame it's only a 1600, but I'll definitely be going for a look. I think 3 cars is quite reasonable for a single bloke, don't you

 

Me too! Really sound bloke to deal with - picked me up from the station, gave me cups of tea, etc.

 

For that money you could buy a decent (but not mint) car, spend a couple of grand on it and have yourself an absolute minter, and still have some money left.
