Where do i stand with insurance?

When i took out my insurance the quote page said
Windscreen cover. It wasn't an option to add onto my insurance or anything it just said it.
When i clicked on f/c to check prices it changed to free windscreen cover.

So i was under the impression that i had cover on tpft just i had to pay an excess.
I'm being told by elephant that i'm not covered

I just remember it saying window cover and no option to buy it as an extra.

 

TPTF, Tight @rse, and you want a cheap windscreen, The windscreen is prob worth more than your car

 

its well proven that tpft is virtually the same cost as comp nowadays

f**k all reason for going onto full comp.
Excess they wanted me to pay was like 500-600 quid, plus 1k on insurance i could just buy a mk2 for a fiver and run round in that if i crashed.
