Where can you buy Peloquin ATB / Quaife LSD for a mk2 gti and how much do they cost?

Have tried the search function 'cause i know it's been covered a lot but it just keeps timing out.

    cheers

    Quaife. 600.

There's one around which may come up for sale though. Keep and eye on the classifieds.

    Direct from Quaiffe
    From Scirro.com (pelequin and quaiffe)
    TSR
    C+R
    Stealth
    Peter Lloyd
    Rally Design
    Demon Tweeks

    All about 500-600

You will be getting an ATB, not an LSD.

I got a Peloquin from www.thescirocco.com. They're shipped over from the States, but it only cost 455 quid as the exchange rate is really good! That's including shipping AND the fitting kit! Bargain. :)

Whatever they cost they're well worth it, at Donington I've gained 3 secs a lap from a Quaife ATB, part worn slicks and correct 16v ratios [:D]

Grip in wet conditions is amazing also.

Peloquin basically copied the Quaife so they'll perform pretty much the same

Biggest difference between them is the warranty, if you break a peloquin you get a replacement with no quibbles, break a quaife and it has to be repaired.

I've heard this from someone else. - Is this why Peloquin aren't allowed to sell in this country? - So I've heard?

Have you had any problems since fitting your's GVK?

Quaiffe didn't patten the diff in the USA, so when one went over there Pelequin copied it and patten protected it in the US.

Quaife are available in UK - Pelequin in the US.

    They are the same.

That's basically increasing the small LSD effect the VW gearbox already comes with, using shims. Never tried it, have heard good and bad about it. Easy to do if you have the gearbox out though, and I think the Peloquin shim kit is only $99 or something (which includes a tool to get the driveshaft flanges out).

yer the stock diffs come with brass slipper rings, you can upgrade the springs for a larger ones, but as the little research I'v done it wears them quickly, and can cause cracking of the rings.

The only bonus you can remember, I haven't found another make of vehicle thats got them!
