    hi everybody,

I was just wondering if anyone knew where i could get hold of a cheap pair of door pods to accept 6.5 Orion Components, for my 4 door Jetta.

    I don't really wanna pay 180!

    Thanks
    Matt

Isn't 6.5 the size of standard mk2 golf door pods? Or are they like 5.25?

Theyre not that easy to find nowadays but they don't cost too much, not sure if they fit a jetta, are the front door cards the same?

5 door golfs and jettas have the same door cards, as do 3 door golfs and jettas but 3 door jettas are rare.

VW door pods that replace the bin thing take 130mm speakers.

I'm after the same sort of thing as KEVS.

What are they like to build? I'm ok on woodwork and the like, but do i have to be a woodwork wizzard to do them?!

Also what have you covered them with? is it vinyl?

    Thanks
    Matt

I got a set of the audiscape ones off ebay for 60 quid.

Needed a bit of wood glue and now are perfect.

Looking at the pods it wouldnt be too hard to build out of some mdf, depending on what kit you have and if you can be bothered to make proper joints or just screw together.

The hard bit looks to cover them in the vinyl stuff.
