We're getting some progress on the MK3 16v road rally car this week and on the list of jobs is to run the brake and fuel lines inside the car.

I've been looking at the braided fuel lines on the JJC website am not sure which sizes I would need.

    Any ideas welcome.

    Cheers.

That's what I was thinking, I'm running the fuel lines inside the car but wasn't sure what size connects to the MK3 in-tank pump. Cheers for that.

I'm using an-6 hoses and fittings on my mk1 with satinless braided teflon hose, got them from Torques UK.

Thanks for that ^^. I'm going to run the stainless from the fuel pump outlet via a filter in the boot up to the fuel rail and back again inside the car to stop them getting ripped off on the rougher roads we'll one day be travelling down.

Deffinitely stainless braided teflon, anything else will leach petrol smell in the cabin..

I used Torques for all my AN-6 lines on the GTO and it`s never leaked, very good quality!.

RIght, that's what I'll get then. Does it just hose clip onto the fuel pump / filter and fuel rail on the ABF or do you need fittings for the ends ?
Cheers for the advice so far.

You need to use the correct compression fittings with the teflon lines.

KeithMac, Torques have sent me a sample of the Teflon braided stuff. It fits over the fuel pumps fittings and fuel rail in the engine bay but I'm not sure how well it would clamp down.
Did yours clamp down ok and not leak ?
    Cheers.

I used small hose clamps on my GTO Walbro fuel pumps and they`ve held up fine, everything else has been converted to AN-6 fittings.

If it`s just for fit once you should be able to clamp them as long as it`s a tight ish push fit to start with.
