Which cars have the 02a CTN gearbox

Can anyone tell me which cars have the 02A CTN cable change gearboxes fitted?

OK Slight problem. Have just got a box delivered that was out of a 97 Mk3 tdi and its an ASD code box not a CTN - even though breakers said it was a CTN - arggghh!!. Also on ebay there is another Mk3 Tdi breaking which also has a ASD box so it makes me think that not all 97 Mk3 Tdi's actually have a CTN box...

 

Yes different cars get different boxes even if they are the same year/reg as that might differ from the date of manufacture (been sitting in an airfield for 6 months etc)
ASD has longer ratio's than an CTN,is this a problem? whats it for?

CTN came from the Passat TDI. Ive currently got one in my mk2 turbo, however I am possibly looking for a ASD box to build up with a LSD.
