i would fit rods before nos personally. before you fit the engine in the car. 5spd boxes have longer ratios, mk3 ibiza cupra 20vt FD is 3.3 so makes for long legged ratios.
that gear might be hard to find here, we don't have 20V cupras that much here, so what other gear code you recommend?! and about the LSD, which you recommend?? i have seen 1.5 way and 2 way what is that and what is the difference??
locking on overrun.. 1.5 way is what mine runs mk4 golf 1.8t have same g'box ratios i think on 02j 5spd
Yeah,1st 2nd & 3rd are about the same as an 02A CDA box 4th & 5th are longer but it will depend on you dpwer/torque band/turbo for what suits you best For Eg, you'll get about 70mph in 2nd & 97mph in 3rd if reving to 7000 rpm

peloquin in the cheaper yet identical version of the quaife. as for a gearbox, i'd go 02A as a minimum if not the 02J
today I ran into a A4 20V engine, i just wonder does it fit on golf? as the A4 engine is being longitudinally mounted!!!
You would have to get an oil pan, intake manifold and some other bits to make it fit. It's not a direct fit. Search for a transv engine, instead of a longitudinal one.
