Which flanges came on what gearbox?

hi,

loking through the search engine and cant find much on gearbox flanges..

which cars came with the 100mm driveshaft flanges, and which ones came with the 90mm flanges?

90mm on drivers and 100mm on GTI's AFAIK, not sure if there's more to it than this though!

 

i had a GTI recon box on mine, but they were also 90mm... this is why im confused

 

Any chance someone swapped them over?

what size are the mk3 driveshafts.. gti or not.. are they 100mm?

as they have a couple of golfs down there.. and i will need a pair of 100mm shafts...

or could i swap the inner CV joints for some 100mm ones?

 

Mk3 shafts are longer I think, so no use to you. The size of the flange depends on whether it's an 020 or other gearbox. Think the 02A's and such might be 108mm flanges, or something like that.

 

yeah i heard about the 02A gearboxes having 108mm driveshafts. And i have 90mm shafts on my mk2 at the moment "mushy" .. but overall i was just wondering what gearbox came with what flange..

are the mk3 8v 020 boxes the same at the mk2 one?. .. can they be used? cheers
