I'm in the process of starting a 20vt conversion on my mk2 Golf GTI LHD 8v (PF) engine, after doing plenty of research and reading loads of mags im going for AGU engine with K03s turbo. I just dont know which gearbox will fit or give me the best ratios (Going to fit Corrodo pedal box with Hydraulic Clutch so cable change box) I want to be able to: Have Decent 0-60 times + 130+mph top end Use original gearbox mounting points and not have to fabricate new mounts Be Strong enough to cope with 200+ bhp I was told that an early mk4 tdi gearbox would be ideal but i dont know the code or would it actually fit without needing any welding Confused Any help pointers in the right direction would be appreciated
02A or 02J would be best,i thinkthe TDI box will have too tall a ratio's after 3rd gear for what you want.
