My plans are to put a well sorted 16v engine in my mk1. I've got the engine a couple of weeks ago but it didn't come with the gearbox, so basically i want to know can i use my 8v mk1 box which has been rebuilt or would i be better off getting a 16v box. Also are there any differances with gearing and which would be the easiest to fit if i have the choice of both. Excuse my ignorance it's the first time i've attempted anything like this. cheers all Mark
