Which Headunit?

I am gonna get a new headunit and its a choice between the two in this poll, they seem to be very similar which one do you guys reckon ? Here is a pic of the 2 headunits

 

on looks alone out of those two I'd pick the sony. But its about more than looks. I've never seen a good sony headunit, every one I've seen looks, sounds and feels cheap to me. (thats the first one I've seen that doesnt look cheap!)

I take it they are new so I guess the only way to try them out is to go to a shop for a demo

if the JVC sounds way better or works better in some way (better features, better controls or whatever) then get that. otherwise if they are the same on all counts I'd get the sony, cos it looks better.

I prefer the look of the sony unit, but as Jeff mentioned Sony units are not the best, but then again i think JVC's are rubbish aswell...Why not try the silver pioneer one (DEH-P80MP) ? Prob better sound quality, and features! and looks good 2!!!

I'd always swear by pioneer, they make great h/u's, what kind of money are you looking at spending?

Alpine are also good, although I think pioneer have them on the looks front.

Out of those 2 the sony definately looks better.

 

I wanna spend around 200 really which can go up to 250 max

ive got Sony and dont' think its cheap, spent 350 on it and its the mutz nutz!!!

i wouldn't touch either but i'd say jvc may be better than sony

personally pioneer's deh p77mp is the best quality unit by far for around your budget otherwise if you want a fancy one pioneer deh p80mp is a little more but as good as the 77

 

if you want a decent sound from your head unit i'd go alpine...

sorry i know that wasn't an option but i've found them to be easily the best sounding if not always the most pleasing to look at.

 

yep alpine are great for sq just look a bit dodge imo
