Hi peeps quick question, when looking down on a weber carb and your standing at the front, which is your main jet and which is your secondary???? Cheers peeps
Do you know any Spanish? (Maybe Portuguese?) http://www.mecanicavirtual.org/carburador7.htm is the best I can do w.r.t. exploded diagrams of the weber 32/34 dmtl, looks like parts 10 and 14 (of the 5th illustration) are the primary and secondary main jets...
Nah, thats not right at all mate. Looking down on the carb from the front, with the throttle lever to your right, starting from your left is (1) (2) (3) (4) 1) Idle jet (primary) 2) Main jet (primary) 3) Main jet (secondary) 4) Idle jet (secondary) The idle jets are made up of a holder and jet (parts 11+13 on Pete's diagram). The main jets are made up of the air corrector, emulsion tube, and jet (parts 8+23+10 in Pete's diagram). The jet assemblies just push together and pull apart.
That's a mighty handy website Pete. And as its html it easy to copy n paste the words into Google languages for a hilarious translation into odd english eg 'later it is come to the blowing to dry the pieces' It seems to be Spanish BTW Barkstar
Glad you like it! I had a chuckle at the Spanish for accelerator pump, quite near the end. I've been occasionally looking at autotranslated German sites a bit lately, and some of the renditions into English are genuinely hilarious, can't think of an example just now unfortunately.
Cheers mate im used to solex single chokes lol. so the main jets are actuly a 3 piece set up holding the air corrector emulsion tube and jet thats kool. Il look in one of my books when i get home for the sizes that i should have and see what i have got, cheers peeps
Barkstar posted the correct sizes in your other thread. You can get new jets from www.fastroadcars.com , I did.
