    yes it is a non-aircon G60.

you can also use a rallye one that has a bigger inlet (I believe) but you may have to mod your front panel.

sorry can't help with part nos at the mo but maybe later......if someone doesn't get there first!

please anyone feel free to correct any misinformation in the above....!

    Forget about VW ones

    Super expensive

Better off buying a custom one - it'll be bigger and better and cheaper :)

Yeah, bigger isn't always better. (Oo-er-missus) More volume = More lag. Also you have to look at the design of them. I've heard that some of the Sprinter Van IC's people use on here actually don't flow very well at all.

I would personally go for a VW FMIC everytime, just because of the fact they were designed to go in a MkII in the first place. I've got a G60 FMIC - Only cost me 110. :) And it seems to be pretty efficient if the data log I did with VAGCOM the other day was correct.

Yeah, not on this PC tho. Looks like a slightly smaller rallye one. Has a different inlet end though. Also think the outlet diameters on the Rallye IC are slightly larger.

I'll post a pic up later.

    Cheers

Will a custom intercooler not do this?? ;)

Strange how people would nearly always choose to upgrade the standard intercooler(s) if they could - yet you are saying to use a standard one.....

A standard G60 front mount is ideal. Bedrocks 400bhp 20VT was still runiing it's original G60 IC!

I haven't seen one "custom" IC that's fits into a MkII as well as the VW one does. That's all I was getting at - the fit isn't as good.

Yeah, depends on what power you are aiming for. As G40 AL said Bedrock are running 400bhp with theirs, so there can't be much wrong with them. I know 1990 was looking at an AGU lump the other day, so chances are he wouldn't be looking for some massive IC anyway.

Anyway, on my car I was going for an OE look install, and didn't want some lairy aluminium IC peering through my grille. At the end of the day, an IC should be carefully chosen/designed based on a detailed calculations. Choice depends on the flow rate of the core and how well the end caps are designed and how well the thing was built, not just whatever you can fit in the space. I dare say there are some "custom" ICs out there that aren't as good as the VW stuff, not all, but some.
