just about to do a service on the new vento tdi, but suddenly thought which oil do i need??? its the first diesel ive ever owned and was just gonna use 10w40 like i usually do but a mate said you as supposed to use something else (maybe 5w30 or 5w40?) as its better for the turbo? any ideas?
MK3 Golf TDI engines (1Z and AHU engine codes) are recommended to use 10W/40 oil. Just need to decide if you are going cheapo mineral, semi synthetic, or fully synthetic really.
