NGK platinum (My mistake, IRIDIUMS are best, do NOT use platinums) are the best and at assuming you're not going over a 50 shot (for now!!) from you're previous posts so you need to get one heat range colder. Should be exactly the same as the ones I'm running!! I'll see if I can dig out the box with the part number tonight.

Do not skip on this part!! Changing to a heat range colder is esential in my book. I once made that mistake on a motorcycle engine and endded up with some melted bits. (at best it'll run like nails). I actually rang NGK and they recommended the plugs I'm running, had no trouble running 75 shot for the past 6 months and lower power levels before that. And thats on top of the 15,000 daily driver/motorway miles etc. Only trouble with the platinums (again should be IRIDIUM NOT PLATINUM) is they're so good at burning everything and have such thin wires you can't read them!!

thanks , but surely the mk3 plugs will differ to the mk 2 ?

also do i need to retard the timing by 1 degree too ?

gonna run 50 shot on a minimax controller.[:D]

I'd be suprised if you can't run the same plugs as the heads are pretty similar except for the injector location. I forgot to look for the part number though sorry. Let me know if you want me too. You should be ok though go for NGK IRIDIUMS NOT PLATINUM this was my mistake I was half asleep. Platinum are NOT suitable for nitrous applications. IRIDIUMS are the best and for every 50 bhp increase go one heat range colder. So for your 50 shot get the NGK iridium equivalent of standard with one heat range colder and a single electrode.

    Sorry for my original mistake!

You shouldn't need to retard the timing. The cooling effect of the gas at that power level will out way and detonation tendancy.
