TRying to dismantle an 02A but the puller that I have borrowed is too big to fit under the gears, not got 5th off yet!

Are there any cheap pullers from Draper/Sealey etc. that are suitable?
I dont want to go and buy one that still wont do the trick!
    Thanks

I think you need to grind the legs on some to fit.

Thanks for that! (5th gearset looks fine BTW!)

My neighbour is bringing home a hydraulic puller from work tomorrow so will give it a crack, he said I can grind bits out of it if needs be!

Got a home made jobbie for 5th, due to the lack of room beneath the gears. Most off the shelf pullers won't go near it!

Looks good for at least 1 of them as long as it goes wide enough, not sure on the dia's off hand.

Well after a bit of trial and error....

The big hydraulic Sykes Pickavant one I borrowed was no good on the 5spd 02A. Borrowed a small Kukko 2 leg which was good for the plain 5th but too small for the 5th cluster with synchro.

I bought a Draper kit tonight, 2/3 leg reversible. Fitted into the 02A 5th with no grinding needed and pulled off the cluster easily.

The 02S is a different ball game tho as there are some interference fit sleeves over the ends of the shafts after 6th gear cogs and they are real tight! The SP hydraulic has got the first one off but wont fit the 6th cluster. Will try my trusty new Draper one tomorrow!
