I want to get a sat nav system for the car, are there any that anyone can reccommend or have had experiences with? Cheers
Argos are doing some cheapish ones at the moment clicky Flicking through their new catalogue at the weekend, theve also started doing "modding" stuff for cars........ mostly suited to nova and corsa drivers i'd say though Edited by: ^neo^
call me cheap but how is it worth that much money? 500 for a little box to tell you which way to turn, i could buy a map book and an immigrant to sit in my passenger seat telling me where to go for less than that!
Cheers for the responses.. the immigrant idea is on hold! TomToms seem a good option, but they just seem a bit big and chunky! Can u tell me a bit more about the ipaq with a gps sensor.... how do i go about that? where from? pic?
You can get Tom Tom on the IPAQ, I've got all the speed camera databases and postcode finder on as well
can get you a brnad new ipaq with everything you need for about 350 if you're interested?! Can probably find cheap solutions on ebay.
Get a Bluetooth phone that runs Symbian and do it on there. Doesn't even have to be your main phone. You can get a 7650 (for example) for 30 on eBay, GPS receiver for 50 and copy the software off a mate.
I'm selling my PDA and cabled GPS (got car kit and everything) as I have an XDA and bluetooth GPS now. It's the kit Aldi did about 9 months ago for 270 - PM me an offer if you're interested. Can sort you out a copy of the latest TomTom too.
I got Ipaq PDA and Navman GPS,which is portable, and downloaded TomTom (which is by far the best)all for 200
