I've got a '95' Mk3 Golf Gti just put on a set of 16" VW V6 4Motion alloys which look the dogs, however I now feel the need to lower the car to give it a beter stance and need to know which spring kit to buy, so any ideas? and how low can I go without too much trouble?
Eibach or H&R springs are generally vey well regarded. Going too low on standard dampers may seriously reduce their life though .. safer (but obviously a lot more expensive) to fit a set of shortened stroke dampers at the same time if you are going beyond a 35-40mm drop. The Eibachs should give a 35mm-ish drop and function okay with the standard dampers.
