I have an '02 BMW 330d Touring for my daily runner which needs new back tyres. It has Vredestein Ultrac directionals all round. These are hard to find, I forget the price I've found, but regardless of price, would you replace the rears with the same sort i.e then having Vredesteins all round again, or would you go with something like Goodyear F1's or maybe something cheaper than the Vreds? Performance is barely a big issue - family car, but do hoon it now and again. The questions is, if I sold the car with different front and rear tyres (paired fronts & paired rears), do you think this could put off potential buyers in the future, or am I anal? Or, would 4 Vredesteins be an offput moreso? Only talking about changing the rears! Your opinions SVP? Cheers
They were not the standard tyre so i wouldn't let it bother you (i think they were continentals which cost me 126.00 each and that was with my m8 owning the garage) When you have that much torque (mine was chipped mind) rears are not going to give THAT much life, fronts lasted well though. Having said that, are you on 18" Mv's or the double 5 spoke 17"???
Cheers all! Yeah, mine are the double five spoke 17's. How many miles do you reckon you get out of a pair of rears (roughly)? I'm in Stoke. Not many dealers online! How would you all rate Vredestein out of ten in the Manufacturers scale, as in (I dunno) Nankang 1, Goodyear 10 (say). I'd say 3 or 4? I think I'm thinking too hard about this!
