Got a bit of a "what shall I do problem"... I've got 2 pretty nice audio setups in my cars but I've been offered another one and don't know whether its worth bothering with or not. The one in my daily 99 VW Passat - H/U Kenwood PSW9531 **Don't want to get rid of this** Amp Alpine MRV-F357 F&R Speakers Cerwin Vega 6.5 comps (no idea of model number but they sound nice) Sub Infinity 12" (again not sure of model number but its ok) One in my part time/weekend 91 MKII Golf GTi Hu's an Alpine cda 9853R Amps a DLS CA40 4 Channel Speakers are Rainbow SLX230 Deluxe Subs a Diamond M312.4 Ok now I'm pretty happy with both setups (more so the daily one) but one of my mates is selling the following setup, which sounded awesome in his car, for 900 Alpine H/U Screen IVX-C806 Alpine Navigation NVE-N077P Front Speakers JL 650 CS Rears are JL 6.5" but newer than above (doesn't know the model number) Amps Phoenix Gold XS4300 & XS2300 Alpine MP3 Changer Alpine CD Changer Sub JL 12W7 What I wanted to know was is it worth buying, (its a bit old now) and trying to integrate into current systems, just replace what I've got with his system or just stick with what I've got and try to get it set up nicer. Sorry for the long post Cheers Jamie
what you have sounds great save your money to spend on something else, could be a mare to change also.
True it could be a bit of a problem to chandge but the gear your mate is selling is a blinding set up. Get him down a hundred quid maybe and go for it.
Cheers for the advice you blokes I'm actually going to leave buying my mates stuff and just stick with what I've got. Maybe buy a seperate amp for my Diamond sub and use the DLS amp to go fully active in the Golf, and try and get the W7 off him to replace the Infinity in my Passat Thanks again Jamie
the diamond M3 was pretty low in the range when it came out, the w7 would be nicer but would need a lot of power if you like what you have, then dont change anything
