Having stuffed 2 of my wheels, I now need a new set (soon, as the car's being repaired this weekend).

I'm not made of money, so have a budget of around 700.

Any recommendations for a Mk3 VR on that budget please? The car no longer has a bodykit, so no max power stylee rims will 'suit' it now. It's pretty low, I don't mind having the inside edge of the arch rolled, but don't want the arches flared. Previous wheels were 7.5 x 16's and I'd like either 16's or maybe 17's.

I know this is a sad question as it's down to personal taste, but I'm after some ideas as I'd previously looked for nearly 6 months without being able to decide on any out of those available in 16 or 17" 5 stud fitment that wouldn't require major arch mods... [:s]

Polished Audi TT Competitions with correct 205/40/17 tyres IMO.

They've been done a lot, but I do like them. I'm in a rush though, so it's finding some.... [:s]
    Didn't think they'd be under 700?!

Like those too - what's the minimum width on them though? Looked at a couple of sites advertising them, but can only see 9x16 - too wide for my arches

They do DZ-Exclusiv in 7.5x16 - anyone know if they do 5 stud? any pics of that width on a car?

Answered some of my own questions with a phone call - they do do the Brocks in 7.5, but the guy admitted they look a bit cr@p! The Exclusiv's are available in 5 stud, and still look ok as 7.5's he reckons. 2-3 week order though....

Why not run around on a set of standard rims and save for some wheels you really like.
