My alarm has an immobiliser feature which you can tack into a wire so it disconnects it when the alarm is set. The thing is the wire is very thin so I can't really put the ignition wire through it. I want to avoid using a relay as I don't want to have problems with the battery going flat. Is there any other wire that I can switch in the car which is low current and will stop the car starting?

Oh the car is a 91 Golf 2. Any help would be great, thanks :)
