Which wire to which terminal

    Hey peeps quick question, Which wire goes to which terminal, As in the striped wire and the solid ire onto the small and large terminal on the speakers cheers peeps

    if you meant the factory wiring then the wires with brown striping are the negative sides
    for example
    brown/blue left negative
    blue left positive
    brown/red right negative
    red right positive

    Yeah sorry for being a numb nuts, what i was refearing to was when you wire up your speakers, does it matter but its good to know solid is +Ve:thumbup:

    it does matter more with the more powerfull speakers as wiring them the wrong way can take a certain amunt of bass out of the sound and make them sound tinny

    whether they are powerful or not they are all affected the same way
    if you were to wire one side the wrong way round then the sound will be hollow/tinny and out of phase

    so as long as they are wired the same then it doesnt matter ?????

    what i meant in my above post is yes it matters which way you wire them even on small powered speakers but the better and more powered ones you have it matters even more
    as long as the speakers as mentioned have the one with the brown tracer in the wire goes to earth on the speaker and earth from the head unit, and the solids from the head unit go to the plus side of the speaker then all will be well

    Kool the door ones are ran through x-overs but i guess its just the same then cheers bud will do .
