    i started the rebuild of my mk1 in late october last year as the body was in need of repair and i was not happy about the way some of the parts were suffering from wear and tear. so when i saw a few mk1's being stripped i got the push i required to do my own. it was not totally stripped as this was done about 5 years ago so was not required again.

    the jobs compleated were,

    replaced drivers door and new seals.

    repaired sills both side and made side skirts to tidy this area up.

    rewired the dash to repair those years of doggy wiring.

    installed a sony tape player along with the cd played to play my old tapes, original thin lizzy e.t.c.

    turned the air intake for the carbs around and modified the scuttle panel with a alu.panel to accept air filter to get better breathing to the carbs. air filter comes from citroen c2 vtr. 101 * 355 mm {not yet fitted}

    modified a motorised electric central door opener to act as boot door opener

    repainted the steel wheels black as the white was impossible to keep anyway clean.

    prepared the body for respray and filled all holes left from original bumpers , rear tow eye , e.t.c.

    made a better uprated headlamp loom, works a treat

    replace the old worn wheel arch extensions

    heres a few pics, will post pics after respray, black

    Where did you get those wheels! Are they just 'banded' mk2 steels?
