White wheels. Motorsport hardness, or gay as a waistcoat?

White wheels on my red MK2 looked *****e, and even worse when they weren't kept clean (not that they were especially bright white after the belonging to Mr Pie Man )

 

^^ Thought they looked fine tbh, what with the offset - it was just the gravy drips on them that let them down

I quite like the stickers.

Anyway, bought a tin of gloss white paint today, thought I'd rather waste a fiver than waste 200 having them powdercoated...twice.

what do you reckon? I reckon it'll look good in a lighter day, which will bring out the paint a bit more. In the pics the car looks too dark and the wheels just look shockingly bright. They don't even look real!

they would do, they'd been painted literally 15 mins, and the flash caught them
