    Hi Everyone

I've just joined the forum as I've just taken ownership of a 1990 16v. Few jobs need doing, but one of a weird ones is the rev counter with a mind of its own.

I think the rev counter is driven by the coil, all the wiring looks OK (not checked behind the dash) but initially am planning on changing the coil, otherwise I guess its change the dial or dash PCB?

    Any other suggestions anyone?

    Thanks in advance

Needle put back on too tight, is my guess.
Strip it out, remove, and replace with a dab of glue but minimal pressure and hope for no permanent damage.

Mine's worse when main beam's selected, suggesting something electrical/witchcraft related.

    Good luck - nice car.
