Will my sony md headunit work with kenwood cd changer???

Hi peeps,

I have a Kenwood tape headunit and cd changer package in my car.

i would like to keep changer and replace kenwood tape player with my sony md player, is this possible or are they not compatible,

all help appreciated

i would have thought so, will probably need an adaptor though,
