    Hi guys,

I have a cable that looks exactly like this one

This works for my mk3 16v GTI. Could you confirm if this will also read error codes for an Audi TT mk1 3.2 V6 or will I need to purchase something different for this?

    Thanks

    Yes.

It will do up to including mk4 Golf platform (early Audi A3/Seat Leon/Skoda Octavia etc) vehicles, but not the later mk5 stuff as need CAN interface for those.

I used to be able to scan mk4 R32 with my cheapy clone cable (Same set up as mk1 TT 3.2 V6)

Please read the warnings on the Ross-Tech site about scanning airbag modules on mk4 set ups though.

It should be fine plenty people using them on that age of Audi's and vw's
The one I have I a newer hex+can one but i'm eure the older k-line one will work just as well on a mk1 TT

I'm going to view one next weekend, so will be taking my laptop with me to give it a once over - thanks for the advice!

    EDIT**:

That airbag warning on the Rosstech site is here for anyone interested:

    Avoid scanning certain airbag modules

The car I'm looking at is a 2003 model, but I won't scan that module all the same, just to be safe!
