I've just fitted some rocco ones to a 02a box
had issue on OS outer CV when tightening up, it locked up
    requiring minor grinding!

rather than start a new thread on a similar topic, i thought i'd post here,

i'm sure i've read somewhere, that you can fit the 100m flanges to the 90mm driveshafts, they just required minor mods to get them on, trimming of a lip????

ahh so does that mean the holes line up just the outer lip part need cutting off!

its something on the actual drive shaft rather than the flange part,

Yeah, I remember that too. It should allow you to fit 100mm inner CV joints onto your original driveshafts, replacing the original 90mm inner CV joint.

The original post is on this forum somewhere!

You cant fit 020 flanges to the 02J box, the 02J box has bolt in flanges but the 020 box are circlipped on.

Any box with 100mm flanges will fit if they are held in with 1 single 6mm allen bolt, I got mine from a toledo tdi box.

but you could fit the flanges to the drive shafts and go that way.............[:s] [:?:] [:-B]

which is my current thinking, though the 100mm driveshafts are shorter than 90mm ones?

ill be ok with 108mm flanges with 100mm driveshafts if i remove this outer lip,, is this right? they will bolt up?

jon, what is your set up?

    Jason.

108??? you got a late box then??

my current plan/set up is a 02J box that has 100mm out put flanges,

I was going to keep my original shafts and retro fit the 100mm cups to them and run those....

You will be alot easier just changing the flanges on the Gearbox, They will then bolt straight up to the mk2s driveshafts, I can try track you some down secondhand if you like?? Its only 1 6mm allen bolt holding each one on.
