Windscreen

Hi all. I'm about to fit a new panel below the windscreen and I've also had to cut out and weld in a new seam where it had rotted. Does anyone have a mk2 with the windscreen out who could measure the opening so I can make sure the panels are in the correct position before welding.

 

Why not use the windscreen for size?

 

My screen is out. Tell me what you want exactly and I can assist tomorrow morning

 

The measurements of the windscreen opening on the side and in the middle, top to bottom. I don't know if there is any tolerance so I'd rather get it spot on.

There's the thickness of the rubber seal and it would be more accurate if I could have the factory fit. Measure twice, weld once!

Many thanks. I think I've got it about right, maybe a couple of mm out but that can be adjusted.
