    I quite like wide spoke rims on golfs, makes a change from BBS...

    Nah, I had it resprayed last October as it was a bit tatty. The wheels are Castellets which I bought from a mate for 90, I then stripped the laquer off and polished them, then added a new set of Yokohama A539's.

    nice for winter wheels, i had golf gti 8v rims on the bora for winter but got bored and brought new 18's instead,





    had mixed responce with mine some prefer the rs6 rims i had before i prefer my xtr's

    How do polished rims fair in winter with all the salt on the roads? Don't they loose the finish or corrode?

    Look nice by the way.

    That is an awesome colour. Such a shame they only used it on the early MK2's :thumbd:


    Looks good with either set.

    Still need to fit the late spec doors though ;) :lol:

    The whole point of getting these wheels was because they weren't polished and would be easy to keep clean over the winter, but i was bored one day and thought i'd have a go at polishing them. Pain in the ass but well worth it.
    Not bad for my first attempt, far from perfect though.

    look better on older cars I think, dont think they ever suited the mk2.

    btw that is one stunning mk2 on the BBSs. I dont care how common it is to have a mk2 with BBS wheels, there's a reason for it being common! :clap:
