In my mk2 I kept the power cable and RCA phono running down opposite sides of the car, however despite running a low powered amp, will there be any issues running both cables down the same side? [:s]

You wont notice any noise if its running a sub.

It is best to keep them seperate if your running speakers though.

Just don't want any engine noise, but the less trim taken off the car the less chance of me breaking something. You don't know any car installation places in Newbury do you, as soundsecure seem to have closed

Run them both on the same side but power cable down the edge by the door and phono down the middle in line with the centre console, thats what I always do...both on the same side and never had a problem.

Ive heard sound secure are turning into a gun/fishing shop! same people running it. And also heard they will still fit alarm systems, but no longer sell audio equipment.

Dont know how true that is tho!

If i were you id have a go at fitting it yourself

if your RCA cable is shielded it will pose no prob at all.

In my old mk1, i ran them both on opposite sides of the exhaust tunnel, power one side, sound the other. No problems.

The Lupo is power and remote on the left under the sill trim, then rca on the right under the sill trim.

More hassle having to seperate though less chance of obscured sounds and noises. Plus once you've done it properly it won't need doing again.
