Wiring in sound system problem

Just putting in a sound system everything is wired in but when we turned it on but both the 6x9's and the sub there was a constant drum like sound. I then unpluged the 6x9's and it stop druming on the sub and worked like normal, but then started drumming again.

What amp you running, how many channels does it have and are you running the 6x9's off the amp too?

 

Is the drumming sound only with the car running? If so the spark supressor could be malfunctioning.
