right i need to wire my ai606 to a boot solionoid

now im pretty sure that the alarm isnt powerful enough to operate the solonoid itself, so i have invested in a relay

all i need to know is which wire do i connect to the relay and how does it wowrk

i.e. will the relay supply a 12v current down the wire cause if thats the case then i can sort it fine

so which wires are the two wires for extra use

    cheers.

Cheers, I'll do that even though I was kinda using it as a cheap excuse to myself to do a remote release. I quite like the idea of pressing a button and it happens....

There are 3 outputs you could use on the ai606, but one is specifically for the boot solenoid.
    Blue/Black cable:
Output signal pulls low (to ground) connect to the coil of the driver relay for the boot release solenoid. For safety reasons this output can only be activated with the ignition off. Once activated, the boot and internal volume sensors are disabled until 20 seconds after the boot is closed.
    500mA max
So long as you haven't any other additional add ons to the system, the alarm's boot solenoid output should be defaulted to the correct settings. If not, you'll have to visit a Toad dealer with your PIN number to have them change the settings.
