Ive bought a new stereo for the black beast, but its keeps flattening the battery, soooo im guessing theres a prob with the wiring.

Now i didnt have a stereo when i bought it, and it kinda looks bodged (like everything else) but i want to make it right so im going to try an describe what i can see incase anyone knows what should be what.

Speaker wires are fine, but heres what the other four wires are..

    RED -
    BROWN -
    Yellow/white -
    Grey/Blue -

If someone could let me know what the yellow/white & grey/blue wires are, then im sure i can suss this all out.

    UPDATE

Well ive checked me wiring above with my amp meter, and none of them seem to be switched via the ignition, no wonder its going flat....sureley theres a switch wire ??

Its a Fusion CA CD500....what ive done is put the red wire from the stereo which is switched onto the red black wire for the heater fan switch....switches on and off a treat now via the ignition key.

never hered of it but if its got a yellow wire, that usually goes to the battery, the red will go to an ign positive which youve done by using the fan wire, personally i would have picked up an ign feed from the fusebox as you MAY get a whiring noise in the speakers(interference) when fan is on

Yup got the yellow on right then

Ive done the old speaker test for interference and there dont seem to be any present, so its a win win situation.

Oh and heres the stereo .... it lights up green and white just like my dash
