    Hi

Two days ago I sprayed the engine of my mk2 1800 16v. After rinsing the cleaner off I ran the engine for a while to help it dry off. It ran ok. The next day it refused to start. The engine is turning over but does not appear to be firing. There is also a strong smell of fuel. I've checked the distributer & it is dry. What else would I need to check ? any ideas ?

Give it a spray of WD40 or the likes around the leads and distributor.Fuel smell is it flooding due to non start so if you put accelerator pedal to floor whilst trying to start that will help also.
