ive got a noise coming from what sounds like the n/s wheel area

id describe it a wurr wurr noise, very similar to a metal lathe??

so i thought it was the wheel bearing, the old one didnt look bad and the noise remained the same with a new one fitted

id always thought a cv was supposed to click when worn, i get no clicks...just this wurr wurr noise from walking speed upwards...it seems to lessen above 45mph but it could be road noise covering it, and its more noticable on curves

recon it could be the shaft???
    any suggestions to confirm it

thats the noise i had in my rear wheel bearing that was shot but you replaced yours [:s] .

when my outer cv joint went the only warning i had was a wobble in the steering....then it fell apart [:^(]

I'd check all the wheel bearings - I've been know to replace a front then find it was the back that was shot afetr all. [:$]

I've noticed this with balancing the wheels the rears can make the steering wheel vibrate even if the fronts are fine.
