worthwhile mods/improvements on 1.9 tdi mk5?

the gf got herself a mk5 1.9 tdi about six months ago, its an 04 reg car so i would expect the odd thing here and there to wear out.

question is, are there any well known common faults we should look out for?
are there any simple mods that would improve the driveability like remap etc?

 

not many things go wrong they are still quite new

chip it

 

remap or a plug in chip, makes a big change.

 

Remap exhaust and brakes

 

Lexus lights and 2 fluffy dice.

 

already done!!!! i think not.
