Well, seeing as im finding it virtually impossible to source a decent second hand 02a gearbox, would i be stupid paying a few hundred quid to get mine refurbished??
if your keeping your car for more than 2 years i would. last i heard it was somewhere in the region of 350 for a box like that
Yeah, ive had quotes of around that figure. All the boxes ive come across are from breakers etc that arent on the car, so ive got no guarantee that there in the condition and mileage stated! Its a bit of a gamble. Dont want to go through the hassle of changing the gearbox to find the one i replace it with is in worse condition! So hotgolf rebuilds gearboxes? or knows of a man who can?
