i have converted my mk2 driver to discs, and i am having a problem with the handbrake cables, they seem to be about 3 inches to long am i missing something here or could they be the wrong ones, corrado etc... i have mk3 calipers where the cables attach from the underneath so what cables should i use?
I presume you would need some mk2 gti handbrake cables as they are designed to be attached to calipers and not drums?
yeah im just not sure which year cables. did the early mk2 calipers have the cables attach at the top or the bottom
handbreak set-up is different? one has a link type bar with a plate for the two cables and one works off the actual underside of the handbreak!
the early mk2 gti had the cables over the top, and the later underneath, take them back and get late 91 gti cables
