My N/S Electric window mech broke. I ordered a new one from the dealer and went to fit it today when I realised it isn't the same as my previous one. Looking at it I'm very confident it won't fit. The Part No. is 1H0-837-401-BL1 1H0 tells me it's for a mk3 golf so whats the story?
3/5 door regulators are the same, your part nunber is for a mechanical window mech not electric. the one you want is: 1H0 837 461A - window regulator without motor, left carbrio regulators have part number starting 1E0 xxx
Cheers Jonny. Bloody obvious now I think of it. Amazing what doesn't make any sense when you have the rage.
Dealer says they'll swap it and not charge me the difference of about 10. Fair enough and very apologetic.
