Just gone to rotate my wheels for the first time. The NSR wheel wouldn't go flush against the hub, yet the OSR did. Had a look and the NSR has an ali looking disc/thick washer: But the OSR does not have one: Is it supposed to be like this, or is this the 'cap' shown in Fig 8.5 on page 218 of Haynes, which looks like it should be on the other side of the disc? Can't help but think that as it is it's putting a lot of pressure on the wheel and it's bolts. And now it's raining and I'm running out of daylight. Any advice greatly appreciated. Gaz

Check the wheels - the other one probably has the ring still inside it. Driving without them is dodgy.
When i took the venoms off mine they had spigot rings on and one of them was stuck solid It took me ages to chop it off.
What are they for? I've got Blades (no comments please) on, but all it seems to be doing is keeping the wheel from sitting against the hub and losing some thread depth in the process. TSC, isn't it better to have the wheel against the hub? 1990, I've already had that sense of foreboding Just off out there to look for the other one and give it me best. Gaz
They're to keep the wheel load supported by the hub, rather than the bolts. You need them both on, you'll need to take one out which is stuck in one of the wheels, and put it on the OSR hub. Then put the wheels on and they'll fit tight against the hub.
Spot on TSC Good advice as ever I have just finished Was left on when I took the NSR off and swapped it with the OSF. Once I'd gotten it off the hub, it was obvious that it was from the wheel now on the OSF. It's now back in it's rightful place. Surprised it came out of the wheel given the way it needed drifting back in. Blindingly obvious in daylight with a clear head Many thanks Gaz
