drove like a noob? from memory (and that is an old vid) the mr2 was being driven by a friend of the owner. those mr2s are so bulletproof barely a mark on it lol
He was spinning the rear wheels, and the rear right wheel obviously got traction before the left one, causing the car to suddenly move left. This is more of a problem on mid- and rear-engined cars as there is more weight over the rear (driven) wheels. It can happen on front engined, rear wheel drive cars as well though.
saw that a while back... must have been deliberate, no? did he try and turn? brakes weren't very effective... gutted for the bora/jetta still.

He made no attempt to steer out of the skid to correct it - had he done that, I reckon he'd not have gone off the road. He was also late off the throttle and onto the brakes, then the ABS came on (you can hear it) and seemed to kick in really early.
I have no idea how the Jetta owner stayed so calm tbh, unless he fainted at the sight of his car or something, lol. It would have taken a nation of millions to hold me back from the guy tbh (so that's where that saying comes from)
i own an mr2....and i still don't get how he did it....they just don't do that! i have heard on mr2 forums that he may have decided to completely coat his tyre (inc tread) with back to black...though watching it again paul c may be right. either way, he managed to damage two nice cars in one stupid move
2 nice cars???? You must have seen a dif vid to me, all I saw damaged was a chaved up Bora & an MR2, where were the nice cars that were damaged?
