thanks very much for the swift feedback guys. appreciate it:p i never new engine mount had oily stuff in them. are the hard to replace??
also when i first start driving my car from cold. as im taking the revs between just under 3k and 3k there is like a wierd wistle noise. the same kinda whistle youd give a tidy girl:lol:. im thinking it might be something to do with the crappy ecotek valve but the whistling stops after about half a mile. wierd or what.
could this be related to the dodgy mount in anyway you reckon ??;)

not likely. mr bladder is correct though, when you get the new part, it is called a gbox mount.

only thing thats hard about replacing them is the bolts can be uber tight.

need to put a jack under where the block meets the bell house, loosen the other mounts a bit, allow the jack to support the engine's weight and start disassembling.

The whistle may be a party whistle, that a squirrel has put in your air box

But i have heard that the early mounts are better due to them being all rubber. Dont know this for a fact tho.
